Daniel Khuc

Daniel currently serves as a regulatory collaborator on several medical device development teams at Varian Medical Systems. These assignments consist of a diverse portfolio of products ranging from radiotherapy treatment planning software systems to sterilized titanium applicator components.

Along with the development of regulatory submission strategies and assessment of regional market clearance pathways, Daniel supports the execution of global and company-wide processes to help effectively fulfill the latest regulatory requirements while removing barriers to timely commercial distribution. By building and encouraging cross-functional communication, he has been able to design and secure several 510k and Health Canada clearances without incurring any review questions or holds on the presented content.

Daniel actively participates in the healthy maintenance of regulatory understanding for various products, staying knowledgeable on the latest guidance for current issues facing the device industry. His background experience also includes international travel for onsite collaboration with engineering, risk management, and local regulatory groups, as well as fostering partnerships with marketing to ensure the creation of appropriate promotional materials containing medical device claims for Varian.
